Hard-headed pinoys deserved the blame but who are they? Corruption for example; the blame could not all be pointed to leaders when suburdinates are dishonest in their own small ways. People cheating their daily time records, claiming taxi fares when in fact they are riding jeepneys, extending their travels from one to two or three days because they can easily secure certificate of appearance; using government bond papers and other materials for the projects of their children in schools and worst prepare and submit fake accomplishment reports. Come now election time, are we ready to face realities? Shall we vote candidates without platforms? or shall we choose those who are dependents with their advisers. Its up to us.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32450895.post-51855894059388975992007-11-13T15:57:00.000+08:002007-11-13T15:57:00.000+08:00You are indeed correct about the vote buying here ...You are indeed correct about the vote buying here in the Philippines. I find it very discouraging, and yet, during the recent elections, my father-in-law was running for Barangay Captain in St. Christine, and did not buy one single vote, yet won the election. I believe it is a testiment of the future on the Philippines, and to him it was a moment of pride that he could win without vote buying. I'm hoping he will lead the way in making a change for the better in the coming years.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
